The math of your bay
Why the transmission is the job
you can't afford to hand off
6-12 hrs
of shop time just to remove and reinstall a transmission — before a single part is touched. That's the bill you avoid when the fix happens in the bay.
$1,500-$3,500
what a rebuild bills out at in 2026, with full replacement running $2,900-$8,000. Labor rates sit at $100-$200/hr and went up 8% this year.
37,000
technicians short, every single year — the industry needs 76,000 and graduates 39,000. The shops you send work to are backed up too.

Who this is for
This is for you
if you're the one in the bay
You own the shop and the customer list, and today every automatic that rolls in gets farmed out.
You're a general tech who wants to be the transmission guy — the one the shop can't replace.
It eats at you to say "we don't do transmissions here" to a customer who trusts you with everything else.
You're not about to hand a trade school two years and a five-figure tuition to learn one skill.
You want something you can use on Monday, on your own lift, with the scan tool that's already on your cart.
"I figured at 52 I'd missed the boat on learning something new. Turned out the opposite — all those years under cars meant I understood what I was looking at faster than I expected."

Illustrative — replace with a verified customer review before launch.
By the end of this, you'll be able to:
Read the code your scan tool is already throwing — and know which chain of checks comes before the expensive answer.
Tell electronic failure from mechanical failure in about 20 minutes, on the lift, before you commit to anything.
Do the work in the bay — solenoids, valve body, TCM adaptive relearn — without pulling the unit and without a bench.
Spec the right ATF every time — and know exactly when mixing fluid turns a repair into a replacement.
Write the estimate with your head up — priced like specialty work, explained in language the customer actually accepts.

Pulling the unit
1 · What the customer tells you
"It shudders and hesitates when it's cold. After a few miles it settles down."
2 · Diagnosis — 20 minutes, your own lift
→ Pull the codes with the scan tool you already own
→ Cold road test to confirm the complaint is real and repeatable
→ Separate a mechatronic/actuator fault from actual clutch pack wear — this is the call that decides the whole job
3 · The repair — same day, in the bay
→ Clutch kit and mechatronic actuator service
→ TCU adaptive relearn so the unit stops fighting the new hardware
→ Final road test before the customer ever sees it
4 · What the market charges for this class of work
A rebuild on this kind of unit bills out at $1,500-$3,500, and full replacement runs $2,900-$8,000. Six to twelve of those hours are removal and reinstallation alone, at $100-$200 an hour. When the fix happens in the bay, that's the part of the bill that never has to exist.
5 · The part nobody counts
The car leaves the same day, from your shop. And when that customer needs brakes next spring, he doesn't drive past you to the place that did the big job.
Illustrative walkthrough of the type of work and the price ranges published for this class of repair in 2026. Not a real invoice or a real customer, and not a projection of what any shop will bill.

How it's laid out
From zero to your first job,
with the customers you already have
Week 1 · Fundamentals
Identifying what's in front of you
Before you quote anything, you need to know what you're looking at.
Milestone: you can tell a CVT, a dual-clutch and a conventional automatic apart with the hood up.
Week 2 · Diagnosis
Codes, line pressure, road test
Electronic or mechanical — the whole estimate hangs on that one call.
Milestone: a complete diagnosis in under 20 minutes.
Week 3 · In-bay repair
Solenoids, valve body, adaptive relearn
The work that pays without the six-to-twelve-hour R&R.
Milestone: your first in-bay repair, on your own lift.
Week 4 · Your first job
The estimate and the conversation
How to offer it to the customers already in your file — and how to price it without flinching.
Milestone: first transmission job written, done and billed.

5 bonuses so nothing
stops you on the first job
Every one of them exists because of something that goes wrong on job number one.

The 11-Transmission Map
Every unit in the course on one reference: the ATF, the common failure, the diagram. The thing you actually open with a car on the lift.
Bonus #2
Quote It Like a Specialist
The estimate sheet and the script — so specialty work doesn't get priced like a brake job out of nerves.
Bonus #3
The 7 Checks Before You Open It
The order of operations that keeps you from tearing down a unit that didn't need to come apart.
Bonus #4
The ATF Compatibility Chart
What goes in what, and which mixes turn a repair into a replacement. The most expensive mistake in the trade, on one page.
Bonus #5
24/7 AI Diagnostic Assistant

Questions you're probably asking
Does this work if I'm a one-man shop?
That's who it was built for. Everything in here runs on one lift with the tools you already have — no second tech, no dedicated bay.
Do I need an expensive scan tool?
Not to start. If you've got a general OBD2 scan tool, you can do the diagnostic work in the course with it. The tool guide tells you what's worth buying later and in what order.
Do I need a bench or a transmission jack?
No. This method is deliberately built around the repairs you can do in the bay — solenoids, valve body, actuators, relearns. A bench is what you buy once volume justifies it, not to get started.
Does it cover my F-150 / Silverado?
No — and we'd rather say it here. The 4L60E, 6L80, 6R80 and 10R80 are not in this release. The course is built around the transverse, CVT and dual-clutch units that general shops turn away and that dealers are backed up on.
Does it cover CVTs? I've been told they can't be rebuilt.
It covers Nissan/JATCO JF011E and JF015E, Honda CVT and Toyota K120. "It can't be fixed, only replaced" is the most profitable sentence in the industry — for the guy saying it.
Will my customers trust me with this work?
They're already your customers — they trust you with everything else on that car. Week 4 is entirely about how to put the offer in front of the people already in your file, and the AI assistant is there while you're doing your first ones.
I've been turning wrenches 25 years. Is this too basic?
It assumes you already know how to diagnose a car. Nobody explains what a torque wrench is. It goes straight at transmission diagnosis and in-bay repair.
How long before I can take a job?
The roadmap runs four weeks to your first billed job, and that's built on the fact that you already have the customers. How fast you actually move is up to you and your schedule.
What happens if I put the wrong ATF in?
It's the most expensive mistake in this trade — which is exactly why the compatibility chart is one of the bonuses and not an upsell.
Why is it this cheap?
It's a launch price while we open the English version, and it's digital — there's no seminar room to rent and no travel. When the launch seats are gone it goes back to $100.
How do I get access after I pay?
Minutes after payment clears. You watch on your phone in the bay or on a laptop at home, at whatever pace you want. Lifetime access, updates included.
And if I buy it and it's not for me?
7-day unconditional guarantee. You email us, you get 100% back, no forms.

P.S. If you read this far, it's because you're tired of watching the biggest ticket of the week drive off to somebody else's bay.
